PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF THE HITCH (3) MINOR SCRATCHES COULD BE OBSERVED ON THE VEHICLE. THEY WERE DOCUMENTED PRIOR TO MASKING OFF THE VEHICLE FOR HITCH INSTALLATION. ALL INSTALLATIONS ARE RECORDED. DURING DISASSEMBLY, (1) EXHAUST PANEL WAS FOUND NOT TO BE SECURED TO THE VEHICLE AND A FASTENER MISSING. THE FASTENER WAS LOCATED UNDER THE REAR BUMPER FASCIA AND REINSTALLED DURING FINAL ASSEMBLY. THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS THAT ARRIVED WITH THIS HITCH INCORRECTLY DIRECTED REMOVAL OF INTERIOR COMPONENTS. NO INTERIOR COMPONENTS ARE REQUIRED TO BE REMOVED FOR INSTALLATION OF THIS HITCH AND ONLY THE REAR AREA CARGO HOOKS WERE REMOVED BEFORE REVIEWING THE INSTRUCTIONS AND DETERMINING IT UNNECESSARY TO REMOVE ANY FURTHER COMPONENTS. PRIOR TO THAT POINT THE FOLLOWING WAS OBSERVED: (1) FASTENER FOR THE CARGO AREA INTERIOR SPARE TIRE COVER WAS OBSERVED TO BE MISSING AND COULD NOT BE LOCATED. (1) FLAT WASHER FOR THE REAR SIDE OF THE CARGO AREA HOOK WAS MISSING AND COULD NOT BE LOCATED. (1) FASTENER FOR THE CARGO AREA INTERIOR SIDE PANEL APPEARS TO BE DIFFERENT FROM THE MATCHING LOCATION ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THESE CONCERNS WERE DOCUMENTED ON VIDEO PRIOR TO REMOVAL. DURING REASSEMBLY A FASTENER FROM THE SURROUNDING LOCATION WAS SWAPPED IN PLACE ON THE CARGO AREA SIDE PANEL SO THE STYLE OF FASTENERS OF THE UPPER PORTION OF THE CARGO AREA AND LOWER PORTION OF THE CARGO AREA NOW MATCH. DURING REMOVAL OF THE REAR BUMPER FASCIA IT WAS OBSERVED THAT THE MAIN HARNESS CONNECTOR'S SECONDARY LOCKING MECHANISM WAS DAMAGED AND HAD TO BE REMOVED WITH A TOOL. CONTACTED CUSTOMER VIA PHONE TO INFORM THEM THAT THEY SHOULD CONTACT ANYONE WHO HAS WORKED ON THE VEHICLE PREVIOUSLY TO INQUIRE ABOUT THE CONCERNS LISTED ABOVE. INSTALLED NEW HITCH AND TORQUE FASTENERS TO MANUFACTURER SPECIFICATION. HANDS FREE-LIFTGATE SENSOR BRACKET IS REMOVED FOR INSTALLATION OF THE HITCH AND WAS PLACED IN THE CARGO AREA WITH IT'S MOUNTING FASTENERS IN A ZIP LOCK BAG. THIS ITEM CAN BE DISCARDED IF DESIRED.

CUSTOMER STATES THAT THE BRAKE CONTROLLER DISPLAYS "TRAILER NOT CONNECTED". CONSULTED THE CUSTOMER'S SERVICE HISTORY AND OBSERVED THAT THE BRAKE CONTROLLER AND RELATED COMPONENTS WERE NOT INSTALLED AT THIS LOCATION. OBSERVED THE 7-WAY SOCKET AT THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE IS MOUNTED USING CABLE TIES AND NOT SECURED WITH FASTENERS. USED A TRAILER SIMULATOR TO TEST THE 7-WAY SOCKET AT THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. ALL CIRCUITS FUNCTION PROPERLY. CONNECTED THE CUSTOMER'S CAMPER TO THE VEHICLE'S 7-WAY SOCKET AT THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE AND OBSERVED "NO TRAILER CONNECTED" DISPLAYED ON THE BRAKE CONTROLLER. OBSERVED A LENGTH OF HARNESS THAT IS ROUTED TO A TRAILER TONGUE MOUNTED WIRELESS STYLE BRAKE CONTROLLER. REMOVED ALL HARNESS COVERINGS. DISCONNECTED THE CAMPER MAIN HARNESS FROM THE TRAILER MOUNTED BRAKE CONTROLLER AND CONNECTED IT TO THE VEHICLE'S 7-WAY SOCKET. THE WARNING MESSAGE IS NO LONGER DISPLAYED. ACCOMPANIED THE CUSTOMER ON A TEST DRIVE OF THE VEHICLE TO MONITOR THE PERFORMANCE OF THE BRAKE CONTROLLER. THE BRAKE CONTROLLER FUNCTIONS AS INTENDED BY THE MANUFACTURER. VISUALLY INSPECTED THE LIGHTS ON THE CAMPER AND ALL SIGNALS AND LIGHTING FUNCTIONS PROPERLY.
